Your First Visit to the Chiropractor

Chiropractor Consultation

On your first visit to our office, you will be greeted by our warm, caring staff and will be asked to fill out our required forms. These forms help us gain important information about yourself and your condition. The doctor will then talk with you and ask you some specific questions regarding your condition to determine if you are a candidate for Chiropractic care. If it is determined that Chiropractic care will be beneficial, a Chiropractic examination then be performed. If we need to refer you to a specialist, we work with Chicago's top medical doctors and othopedics. Nothing will ever be done in our office without your consent.

Examination

After a thorough consultation with the doctor, you will have a complete chiropractic examination. This will include testing your reflexes, your ability to turn and bend, as well as other standard orthopedic, neurological, postural, and physical examinations. The doctor will gain valuable information regarding your condition so that he will have a better understanding of how chiropractic can help you. If necessary, the doctor may take x-rays or refer you for additional testing procedures.

X-ray

X-rays are sometimes required to help determine the cause of your problem by observing the alignment, bone and density, as well as disc heights. The need for x-rays is considered on a case by case basis. We recently updated to high frequency, digital x-ray which is the safest and most state of the art equipment available.

Report of Findings

Once all of the information and examinations have been performed, the chiropractor will give you a detailed report of findings, as well as recommendations for treatment.

Treatment

Our treatments consist of gentle adjustments, physio-therapy, stretches and exercises, massage therapy and spinal decompression. The Chiropractic doctor will determine which of these services will be most effective for you. Many of our patients begin to see results from the very first treatment. Chiropractic care is gentle enough for kids, yet it is able to restore function and movement for the athlete and senior. Additionally, our office participates in many insurance programs.
